determine what you want — bullshit!

October 1st, 2010

I want to talk about the law of attraction, but it’s something that nobody talks about. That is, see, the law of attraction in theory is that you’ve got to determine what you want. That’s the first thing everybody says. Now some people will say you’ve got to be really, really specific, some other people will say you’ve got to be more general.

The best answer I got about the amount of specificity you’ve got to have when determining what it is you want or describing it, is you go as specific as it makes you feels good, and I went oh. So for example, I want a new plasma TV, a big huge plasma TV. Now if I just say plasma TV it doesn’t feel good, but if I think about the size, the look, the feel, I’m not going to go as specific as knowing the brand of the TV, I don’t really care, but I know that it has to be an incredibly high quality image. I want good sound in it and I want to be able to play my video games, and I know the feeling I want to have while playing my video games on that television. So that’s kind of very, very specific. But if I go more specific than that – is it LCD or plasma, the brand – I don’t get a good feeling. If I go more general than that, then I don’t have a good feeling. It’s a good example. I found that when it’s some thing that you want to do, thing meaning really material stuff like a car or jewelry, I find it easier to be more specific.

Now, something I’ve been playing with in the last three days is more states than stuff – so fun, joy, whatever it is. Now when I “attract” something as general as a feeling, meaning having the experience of having fun, well it might help for me to give myself examples. So playing the new Halo Reach with friends, that’s an example of doing something specific that’s fun. But I found if I want to experience or attract in my life a feeling, if I focus on how specifically I want the feeling to happen, unless that’s what I really want, but it kind of jam the whole things up. I prefer to just focus on the vagueness of the feeling. Now, in terms of describing what you want there seems to be different ways of doing it, and sometimes one way works wonderful, and sometimes the same way doesn’t work. So one way to describe things is in terms of your relationship with time.

So I’d like to have fun, means it’s in the future. It might be now, it might be in two days, but it’s kind of in the future. I’d like to have a television or whatever, it’s kind of in the future. So sometimes I love to use that point of view because it’s open to possibilities. But, sometimes you want to use your relationship with time as if you already have it. So if I say oh I already have the television, well that’s a different feeling because it’s more realistic. It makes the experience more real, but at the same time you use the kind of thrill of oh it’s on its way. So playing with your point of view and relationship with time is very interesting. So you’re in the now and the event is in the future, or you’re in the now and you have it right now.

Or, sometimes what I like to do is I go into the future and I’ve had it for a while. It changes the feeling and it depends on what it is that you’re looking for. So for example, if you have a big goal, it’s something that you have difficulty believing that it’s done. For example, let’s say it’s making a million dollars and you’ve only made $500 per year for the last 80 years and you’d like to make a million dollars. So it’s kind of a stretch. So what you do is you could say in the future I’d like to make a million dollars, but it doesn’t feel good; you don’t believe it. Then you can say I have a million dollars and then describe the reality as if you already had it. But, the one thing you could do is add time to it.

So for the last 20 years I’ve been making a million dollars a year, how would I feel then? So it adds certainty to it because in the scenario you’re building in your mind you’ve been making a million dollars for 20 years. When you do this, right now I’m making my first million, or right now I’ve been making one million a year for five years, or right now I’m making a million per year for the last 20 years. The feeling will change.

So I think that’s one way – the more I’m playing with this and the more it seems that it’s an art between different elements of how you feel. How do you determine what you want? Is it based on right now, or something in the past that somebody said what you should want? And when you describe what you want are you writing it down? Are you acting it? Are you saying it out loud? So these are all different ways, because the problem with all of the courses is they are too general. They give you what to do, not how to do. So for example, and I quote Kevin Trudeau, you’ve got to turn your back on what you don’t want and focus on what you want. All right, now how do I do this?

Do I actually go into Wal-Mart or Future Shop, look at the TV screen that I want, then I look at it all day and I turn my back and I invite my banker to Future Shop to whom I owe $23,000 and I turn my back to him literally and look at the screen? How do you do that specifically? That’s always my thing. And the more I learn about this, there’s two things – there’s the technique you’re using or the methodology or the principles of the law of attraction, and then there’s the manifestation of it. So for example, if you want fun in your life then maybe today the idea that’s going to come into your mind is I don’t know, start a new business. So you go oh, I find the tool so forever I know how to have fun. No, because the next day because you’ve worked too much yesterday, the tool that the universe is going to provide to you is get drunk. So it’s kind of sometimes confusing because when you really start beaming what you want and you get it in your life, you go oh can I let go now? So it’s kind of a fun thing to do.

ramblings volume 1

June 30th, 2010

Here is a transcript of my last podcast for those of you who prefer reading.

Hey guys, you could call this podcast insane ramblings volume one. Kevin Trudeau and his law of attraction CDs, which I’ve talked about, he says something that I like. Basically, the most important thing you can do is to feel good now because when you feel good, it means you are aligned with who you are. The better you feel, the more aligned you are with your dreams and who you are. And with the law of attraction, it means you’re going to attract good things in your life. Now, the law of attraction could be complete bullshit, I don’t know, but let’s say it’s just a frame or a metaphor – but it’s really the way it works. The one thing I agree with is that the feelings, not necessarily the state, but the feelings – true emotions – are the guiding system if you’d like. When I feel really, really good then I’m really who I am. I’m with the chicks who’s naked, I mean, I’m not saying to myself oh I can feel good now because this – it really feels good and I know I’m doing what I want to do. If I feel like shit, I’m not having the life I want.

So the one thing I agree with him is that the feelings or state, I don’t know which word is more accurate, is your tracking device. And so, for the last three months every night I grade myself. So I called it the thermostat. So it goes from minus ten – minus ten being I feel so bad I want to kill myself, zero being neutral – neither good or bad – and ten out of ten being how I would feel if I had the perfect life. So in theory, for the last three months the most important thing in my life is to feel good. And when you look at it, I mean I just look at it again and I’ve got three months worth of data and it’s really four, six, no I’ve got some sevens and stuff like I’ve said in the podcast. So today I said okay, it’s only feelings. I’m not going to use any NLP or RBIM or energy medicine; I’m just going to look at the fucking feelings. It’s like a whole new world opened to me. I started to say oh, this is why I feel bad, and the funny thing is I’d say that I got about seven or eight recurring themes. Fears or limits, and I’d say most of my bad feelings come from major themes.

So that’s why I think – I said that maybe two months ago – that if instead of focusing on what you really want, which is what everybody says, you focus on what you don’t want meaning what is the worst thing in my life and I solve this. I found a direct correlation between the two. So for example, January, February, and March I felt like complete shit because I had some problems with my neck and I could do anything. I couldn’t do any sports, I couldn’t do any energy medicine, I couldn’t work, so I said okay I’ve got to fix this first and it took me like a month and a half to really fix it. And by the way, if your neck hurts it might be psychosomatic meaning oh no, I’m afraid that my neck might hurt and of course it makes it hurt even more. So anyway, I use emotional techniques on the fear of the neck hurting and it went away, so you learn from your mistakes. But when I solved this problem, which was the most painful thing in my life, it wasn’t pleasant to solve this. The process of solving it wasn’t fun, but once it was done my average feeling good, if you’d like, went from maybe one out of ten to five or six out of ten. So I’m wondering if I solve these seven things that keep coming back in my life and make me feel like shit maybe if I focus on them and fix them then I would really, really feel good.

The thing is, with all of the technologies that you learn, NLP, hypnosis, and physiology, energy medicine, and RBIM, and all of this. One of the things that it seems to be doing is you become so ingrained into not feeling bad – as soon as a bad feeling comes up, I’ve got so many tools to zap them, but I never take the time to look them. There’s some information there that could be useful.

So that’s it. If you guys have insights on that, Greg sent – you can look at the comments – he gave one or two books on the website that you can look at. I’m going to look at this. But, it’s really mysterious. I’m going to write down what it does to feel good because when you think about it, the most important thing is to feel good. I don’t give a shit about feelings or feeling good, it’s stupid. I can just put some music or change my physiology or spin my feelings, and I’m going to feel good; it’s only feelings. So the thing I want in my life is results. There are some things in my health I have to fix and my business, so it is as if it’s only feelings. But, it’s more than that. When you go from minus three to six, it’s only feelings, but in reality something else happens. I mean, in terms of energy medicine what I found is I’ve got this physical problem I had for ten years and my belief is that if I have these physical symptoms there is an energetic underlying cause.

So if you fix the energetic problem the symptoms will go away. And it’s so funny it is retarded. When I feel bad about this physical condition, it creates the fucking energy and balances and I can feel the symptoms coming back. So if I was intelligent, which clearly I’m not, I would say stop worrying about it; it doesn’t do you any good and it creates the symptoms. But it is as if it isn’t a choice. Now of course I can use EFt and all these things to remove that, but you think that just knowing this consciously that you should be able to stop worrying about it. So it’s really, really weird. I get all of this background and tools of energy and all of this stuff but I still feel like I’m retarded, I mean really – I mean I thought oh okay, I’m four and six out of ten so in one week using my incredible energy medicine skills I’m going to be ten out of ten it’s going to be easy. Well no, I really suck at it.

So it’s kind of confusing. So I know I’m jumping around but like I said, it’s random rambling volume 1. But the thing I’m going to do today is I’m going to take a big sheet of paper and I’m going to write down all the things – the things that it does to feel good. So for example, when I feel good I get healthier. When I feel good, somehow I stop being overwhelmed. I’m losing energy with these fears and stupid energies. When I feel good I stop focusing on what I don’t want. When I feel good it is as if I reconnect with who I am. I mean, when I feel bad it is as if I’m there but I mean, not really there.

And when you feel good again it is as if you find yourself again. I don’t know how to say this in English so it sounds good, but when you feel good things get clearer. When you feel good you go oh, that was really stupid to feel bad about this. So I hope this helps.

3 tricks I use right now.

June 3rd, 2010

Hey!

Here are 3 of the best things I use right now:

- egoscue method

- removing friction (you’ll need this picture: http://www.yangtown.com/wp-content/uploads/zip_up_energy_medicine_balance_central_meridian.jpg) (what an ugly illustration!)

you can actually see Donna Eden doing the zipper for free on youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vr-FEoY440g It’s a summary of her 5 minutes routine. The actual zipper is around 7min 25 seconds

-rbim/not nlp protocol :link to the inventor: http://www.notnlp.com

The real law of attraction
